There are testers also, who the **** sits down, plays a shitty game, and says it's all good, well, good enough, then just move on and get their paycheck...it just doesn't seem that hard...history is made so man does not repeat himself, but that doesn't go for games, for some mutha****in reason they keep doin the same mistakes, big and little, and it's a problem...the call of duty franchise has vastly improved and in cod4, it's the smaller things that are annoying, some lag (patches don't seem to help all that much for it), getting stuck on things, and just some design flaws and new ideas that were tried out but didn't succeed (juggernaut, last stand)....this goes for all game developers, not just infinity ward or treyarch (a rifle grenade bounces back at you if it's fired at a bush!?!?!) anywho..........yeah.................i should make a company and learn from mistakes, and listen to the people more closely, and fix every little flaw needed to improve the experience that much more....................uh huh........

because in the end it's a business. games have schedules and budgets. if you have to finish a game by a certain month you may not be given the option to write the additional code to make the game better. that's why games that are given huge budgets and time like metal gear solid 4 are so much better than the average games. it's also such a massive job that small details can easily be looked over. it's not as simple as imagining a game and then creating it. simple logic says that by this time flaws like this shouldn't exist but it's much deeper than that. in time games will evolve but it won't happen overnight.
