Before I post up my ideas, can I find out a little bit more on PS3Arena?
I mean is it going to be just for individual gamers? Or will it have ladders of its own?
To picture PS3 Arena, picture *********** with more additions to it. It will be based around clans battling, and all the single player events will still be played on here, and we will use PS3 Leaderboard to display the results. There is so much going into the site, I can't even remember all the parts to it. I will throw out a list here of everything that will be included that I can think of off the top of my head. Keep in mind I'm not going to give you everything, since it won't be a surprise in June if I told you.

Automated Tournaments
Clan Ranking System
Ticket System
Team Profiles
Player Profiles
Player Recruitment System
Profile Editors
Challenge System
Match Finders
A Pro Arena
Latest News
.. and so on.
Obviously any ideas that anyone else comes up with, you can pass it along to me and I will see if we can find a way to incorporate it into the system. Were looking to make this the best PS3 Based ladder site on the web, and with everyone's help im sure we can accomplish that.

My question is are you moving the forums over there to Arena or keeping them here.
And a suggestion would be to get the Mod's to start cleaning out old threads. You'll notice in some areas there are 20 million pages of old threads, and I think they should be deleted.
On another post you said it would be an ideal place for players and clans to find sponsers. I think if enough Companies/Sponsers are interested in the site and its players, then maybe a sort of Index of Sponsers?
Like a sort of CraigsList of sponsers, with where they are based, what they offer and are looking for etc.
I've had a little dream of becoming a sponsered gamer, but never thought any more of it. But since that Finest X guy was featured in Rainbow 6 Vegas 2, i'm starting to feel that a sponsorship is within my graps if i apply myself. So this new site has taken my interest a lot!
Also as for Challenge system, I always though that the other clan battle sites could use an 'Advanced Challenge' thing, where if the challenger wants, can customize everything about the game. Most challenges are just main points like Game types, Friendly fires and score limits. But I would like to see a choosable setting for ALL the match options.
And maybe even a map selection?
But I really like the random map generators some other sites have.
This is just a little extra, but I often feel like I dont want to game, but I still want to...
Wouldnt mind a little daily or weekly quiz? A flash game that can only be taken once a week/day. That has questions about certain games, and maybe this can be added onto your player points? Not a lot of points, but maybe a little? :P
I feel that the events you put on here are successful, and maybe Cash prizes could be done? If there was a cash prize clan tournament, I wouldnt mind paying a fee for my clan to enter it.

Were going to keep these forums on here, just have a link back to this site. There will probably be a ton of new members in the first couple weeks because as people sign up for Arena, were going to have their name carry over on this site so all their accounts will be compatible.

Ah some great points, I will try and answer everything you have put up here.
1. About the Sponsorships, if your looking to become sponsored for a game on the PS3, Arena will be the place for that. The best way for this to happen is where we get all of the best players into one place, something we will call the "Pro Arena". It's my little special section I am working on that I will select the top players from the site to be included in, and they will have an opportunity to meet with potential sponsors and maybe work up deals. There will be some cool things included in the Pro Arena section and the members will be recognized on the main part of the site as well, so their name will get out there. Now that you mention something like a CraigsList, I think it would be neat for sponsors to have their own section to put up information they would like to get out, I will see what I can do with that.
2. Challenge system, were going to have a bunch of match finders and match random systems in place when Arena launches. To answer your question, we will probably include a quick match finder and a custom match which will let you decide all the options of the match. The challenge systems have not really been finalized yet, but when they are I will let everyone know.
3. I like the idea of having some kind of game members can play when they log into the site. I will see what I can come up with on that, that will definitely help with interest!
4. Cash prizes are a definite right from the beginning, thats how were going to be really successful. In the beginning the cash prizes probably won't be a whole lot, but it will be something. As we grow so will the prizes, and we will have special tournaments set up as well that will involve a entry fee that will have a big payout to the winner. Were also going to include another payout section to the site but I will keep that one a secret!

Also thought as the site progressed, make news articles about upcoming clans, and top of the ladder clans. Interview the leaders etc, find out how they run their ship and so on. Just something to fill up the front page with some gossip :P
