This post is not intended to flame but to allow some of the future clans that will be battling any EUR teams in the future tourney.
UTM were polite and worked their schedule as we did to get this thing kicked off. I appreciate that. Today we had our battle.
Btoh sides agreed to the following:
1) 6v6
2) TDM
3) 1000
4) UTM host first two maps, their choice. TU host next two maps our choice.
5) Add ALL 4 maps and results together and that'll be the winner, PER ADMIN.
Let me say, great competition, little too much of camping for our taste, but to each their own. :) I don't have pics right on me but they have pics and video.
1st Map - UTM Host Downpour -UTM won (est. 1000 to 750)
2nd Map - UTM Host Wetworks -TU Won (est. 1000 to 670)
Then we go back into the private lobby to switch over to us as hosting. We waited for everyone to join which they did, no problems. We went to our first map:
3rd Map - TU Host Crossfire - TU win (est 1000 - 700)
After the 3rd they all left saying that there was too much lag. Long story, but I gave them a chance to host the 4th just so we can finish it, but the majority of their team went off line. They have video which is great and I have no problems with. Hopefully they remember that it's from their standpoint and it won't show lag the first two maps because they hosted. We got alot of lag but didn't complain because we knew we would be hosting the next two.
Like I said, nothing against UTM, good guys but there are issues that needs to be taken into account the next time a tourney is put together.
1) No US vs World in the first couple rounds
2) Time difference is huge and to complicated to arrange
3) Maybe get a spectator in the international matches
UTM, I have sent a PM to admin per our conversations and results. I don't want to reschedule another battle, it's to difficult to arrange. I have asked admin to give us a win per their rules. Your a good clan and not trying to cause troubles but you guys shouldn't have just left without trying to work it out. I offered a chance to host the 4th map but you also wanted us to redo the 3rd which will not do.

Just word to the wise for other clans. There will be issues with lag regardless so be ready.
I keed...I keed! but backing out of a match due to lag is retarded. If there was too much lag or a lag switch being used, wouldn't the game be shut down?
