CoD 4 downloadable content incoming

Infinity Ward community manager, Robert Bowling, has confirmed that downloadable content for Call of Duty 4 will be available this spring.

Speaking to Gametrailers TV, Bowling demoed one of the four multiplayer maps available in the so named Variety Map Pack in the pipeline for the 360 and PS3 (via XBLM and PSN).

The new map, Cninatown, based on the popular Carentan level from Call of Duty 2, depicts the San Francisco area as rain-soaked and lit only by the moon and the neon glow of the city.

The pack also includes a wide-open village ravaged by combat called Creek, an enemy communications building named Broadcast and a desolate training warehouse filled with a variety of building mock-ups, labelled Killhouse.

Chinatown is based on the COD 2 map of the town Carenton, France. Same map, with a new skin. Check out the video of it in the videos section. It's not the best quality but it's slow enough to get a good look at the map.

Killhouse is based on the training house that you play on COD4 when you first start the at home game. Very little else is known about it at this time.

Broadcast is another map which is based on part of the game. It takes place in the tv station, which I think is cool because I like that part of the game, and allows access to the second story for two levels of fighting.

Creek seems to be set somewhere new and includes, cliffs, a cave, a waterfall, and a creek. This is probably the biggest map of all.

Yeah they definitely confirmed 4 new maps, they've only showed us 3 and told

us the name of the 4th.

Oh Ok. I hope these maps are available for download soon, because I am growing tired of the maps. I can pretty much walk through any of them blindfolded at this point.
