Last night I came across a game of hardcore search and destroy. The teams were a clan of Italian players v’s a group of Americans and me. Now I have friends on my list who do not like playing in rooms with Americans because of the connection problems but last night I came up against a far worse situation.
I didn’t have my headset on but as you know you can hear perfectly well through your tv speakers when you are playing. I was team killed over and over again by one guywho repeatedly told me how bad a player I was. When he killed me he told me it was my own fault and then the abuse continued regarding Briton and the British in general. I stayed in the game for another 2 or 3 rounds but it continued. I didn’t go down the revenge route of team killing him before he got me because that really is not the way I play. Eventually he stopped team killing me and we started to win some rounds. This abusive Yank by the way ended up at the bottom of our list every match and to be honest I haven’t come across a more useless player before.
I just don’t understand what the point of the abuse is. I have no problems with Americans and I actually enjoy playing with them but last night was a bit much and completely unprovoked.
I know this is a rant but it really got to me…

I get this all the time, but usually from the English.. if i had £1 for everytime i was called a scottish twat id be rich (even though im not scottish), there are loads of stupid loud mouths online, we constantly got called noobs in a team tactical the other night because they were higher ranked even though we were kicking their sorry little asses... true there are loud mouth americans but from my experience the english ( not them all ) are just as bad, if not, worse.

yep at the moment i fell the brittish are a disgrace on cod4 all i ever hear is "your mum this" "your dad that" what ever happend to enjoying your game , its coming to the point where i dont wanna play cod4 the abuse is getting out of order, and the biggest dissapointment is its not the americans its brittish who are the worst, there are a few over confident yanks who throw their abuse but thats only usually when there in a group and some times it can be funny. but when they start the america super power crap just remind them of vietnam and the quiet down after that,
