I have to say, not wanting to inflame cross-atlantic rivalry , that this idea bandied around about a US vs EU COD4 match has a lot of merit. Although its really an Americas versus Rest of the World match.
We could and should have the first event at the end of November and follow it up with a rematch at the end of every month giving each side the chance to pick new captains and reselect who they think are the best players for that match.
In the first instance, I need the Captain from each team to contact me so we can discuss the arrangements.
These Captains can be nominated and decided by a poll or whatever. I will leave it up to you lot.
We need to lay down some rules. I offer up these for starters:
Team Death Match only
Captain can be a playing OR non-playing Captain
Matches are not one off but should be over 3 maps
There should be a total 'squad' of 12 players and the teams can select the maximum allowed out of those 12 for each map so they give other people a chance and can drop those having a nightmare
Matches only start when ALL of both team's players are in.
Squad roster should be announced and finalized 7 days before battle date
Maximum of 2 players from any one clan
I will place a permanent link up on the Home Page about the event listing that months winners with the respective flag and link.
Any other ideas, stick them in here.
