A frustrating game

Hello all

Haven't posted anything for a while.
COD 4 to me now is a game of latency and camping.
Since the world can connect i find myself time and time again a few seconds behind the game play and its really frustrating.
COD 3 9 times out of 10 you would always register a hit. Cod 3 was more skillful no red dot sights and no acog scopes and no perks. Your aided too much in COD 4. The game is more about luck and where you can hide.
All the COD 3 veterans know if you camped you got owned. You knew you could run about the map knowing if your a good shot uve got the kill but on COD4 that goes out of the window.
For this reason clan games are boring and not intense at the slightest. Putting down a few claymores and having martydom on your perks doesn't show your a good player.
Blueiron's post about how things have changed this i feel is more relevant to his post.
COD 3 was an alot more enjoyable game because it was more skillfull and knowhere near as frustrating as COD4.
Dont get me wrong, COD 4 is a good game but its just far to aided.

yh i knw wat u mean. wen i start 2 do gd on Cod4 sum Ahole alway ***s up the game by campin it piss's me off so much i almost put my ps3 throw my window. Cod3 every1 had fun no1 was try 2 b the best unlike now. Cod3 best game. respect 2 all the old COD3 Clan

true, but the majority of people care about them and camp too get them.

Agreed, some of my best scores have come from just staying back, playing it safe and taking long shots. The game rewards campers for staying alive and not doing much, and the players who actually try and take risks, get punished for it.

I learnt very early on that i could just stay back and play it safe for a whole game and consisently score well, and thats what i do for the first one or two games i play when i log on, after about the third or forth i'll get cocky and start to rush in and get killed alot.

But if you have the patience for this style of play and know how to work the angles(spawn points etc.), you can easily score high KDRs every game IMO.

I totally agree with the latency thing too, I've seen some of the great players play, and can honestly say that the only amazing thing about them is how much more effective their bullets seem to be more than mine.

the most annoying thing about cod4 for me is that tradional fps skill(Aiming, movement, using cover etc.) doesn't seem to play much of a factor in playing well.

hello, theres nothing i can add to this thread that hasnt been said already except that all the above posts are 100% correct. Run n Gun has died and every other player uses sniper & claymores, too many perks, too many campers and roll on GTA IV.

i only have a 2.00 K/d but i work hard 2 get it. 4weeks ago i was only 1.71 k/d. there only 3maps i snipe on and thats crossfire, ambush & Overgrown but every other map i run & gun all the was. campin with a normal gun is gay no skill.

yh but with a sniper its normal that u camp at one point to see the whole map like in crossfire now
