what he said. plus, whenever this used to happen to me, i had to make sure i deleted all my messages; sent and recieved. also, if you use the internet browser, be sure to clear the cache and delete cookies (don't know if its related, but seemed to help my connection ability. besides, its good to do anyway).
other than that, try resetting your router and redo the connection process on your ps3
