Metal Gear Solid, Solid Snake & Nakes Snake..

Ok I've played MGS1, 2 & 3...

But i been reading stuff about Naked Snake & Solid Snake..
And I dont get it!!

Whats the difference between them, and what games do they play in

i.e. Is like Solid snake in MGS3? or w/e

I played MGS1, but was only 10 odd lol, So I didnt really follow the story line much..

Ok, the storyline starts in MGS3.
You play as Naked Snake aka Big Boss. After the mission, he finds out about The Boss being forced to defect etc. and finds out he was used. Hes disgusted with the government and probably loses his mind. Portable Ops(Never Played It) shows what happens directly after MGS3. He defects. He forms his own unit, etc. Eventually hes in control of his own mercenary army and hes a huge threat to the United States and any other country. He tries taking over nuclear military facilities to steal Metal Gear.

Sometime during the midst of all this he had himself cloned about 7 times. Only 3 Cloned "Snakes" were documented successful.
Solid, Liquid, & Solidus
Solid Snake is the only clone who never loses his mind like his "father".
So in Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 for the NES its Snake infiltrating some of those taken over facilities and destroying Metal Gear. At the end he fights Big Boss, finds out hes his clone, and then kills him.

After that, in MGS1 Snake infiltrates another taken over facility but this time the guy in charge of the take over is his cloned brother Liquid. One of theyre demands is alot of money and the remains of Big Boss(IDKY). Snake owns Liquid etc.

In MGS2, the storys pretty complicated so you'll have to follow that yourself. Not typing that all up.

But heres a summary:
Big Boss-Original Snake
Solid Snake-Good Guy Clone, Main Character
Liquid Snake-Bad Guy Clone, Hates Solid Snake(Hes Dead)
Solidus Snake-Really Bad Guy Clone, Hates Both(Hes Dead)

Storyline Order:
1.Metal Gear Solid 3
2.MGS Portable Ops
3.Metal Gear
4.Metal Gear 2:Solid Snake
5.Metal Gear Solid
6.Metal Gear Solid 2
7.Metal Gear Solid 4

Seperate Storylines that are in a Parallel Universe:
1.MGS Acid
2.MGS Acid 2

I have been playing MGS since I was 7 and I understood the storyline. XD

By the way, if your wondering where you can play the crappy Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 games they have them ported onto the Bonus Disc of MGS3:Subsistence.

In MGS4 Snake is so old because cloning in the 70s wasn't advanced so hes in his 40s and looks like hes 80.
Hes also sick because in MGS1, Naomi slipped him the FOXDIE Virus.

But..!.. last couple of questions...

1. So the only times you play as Naked Snake (BigBoss?) is in MGS3 & MGS:PO?
- Naked Snake is Big Boss..?

2. I played MGS3, and I never really noticed anything about the goverment setting him up :| Can you fil me in on that?

3. Solidus snake is the end boss on MGS2 right? when you fight him on that roof thing.. he got them electric arm things lol
- I know liquid from MGS1 (ps1) And i know he's on MGS4..

4. Naked Snake (original) is dead.. right?

5. Who's the "father" I've heard about it, Is it the original snake.. Naked Snake/Big Boss?

- But what does the Foxdie stuff do??

1.Yes
2.They sent him to kill The Boss(whose orders were "defect and be killed by Snake"). Theres alot to explain. Go to Youtube and look up the ending (From where he kills Boss until the credits) and EVA explains most of it.
3.Yes, & No Liquids not in MGS4. He died in MGS1 and Ocelot(who lost his arm thanks to the ninja) stole his arm. Apparently its possessed(WTF). The possessed Ocelot is referred to as Liquid Ocelot.

FOXDIE was the virus that targeted people with a certain DNA makeup and killed them. They secretly injected it into Snake w/o him knowing so when he got near the Bosses it killed them. However, Naomi secretly changed the viruses programming so it affected Snake as well.

She did this because her "big brother" was Grey Fox who Snake had killed in Metal Gear on the NES. MGS is such an epic game its hard to condense this stuff.

Um, but if you look up the storyline on Wikipedia or Youtube for MGS1, you'll find out what I'm talking about.

ahh i get the ocelot thing, I thought it was ocelot, then they said liquid and was confused lol

And I have watched 1 or 2 vids off MGS (ps1) Im sure Grey Fox is Ninja on MGS

and yeah it is hard, they've made it like star wars movies lol
Where the movies and some of the games relate, and some are all over the place!!
