Again, MGO 2 online is a complete and utter joke. No its not mentioned half the time, ya i guess maybe outta ppl that have bought a PS3 in the last week, cuz that really represents all of them. Also, these ppl that bought thier PS3 for just this game have mostly probably played it since the first one as i said.

Not a single person i've talked to ever has said im gonna buy a PS3 for MGS4 and no i've never played a MGS game in my life. No 1.

Dude, MGS is mentioned not MGO. MGS4 is one of the most common games people list they want for PS3.And most people don't buy a PS3 just for one game, but are waiting for the MGS4 release because it comes out around the same time as other great titles. If you took MGS4 away, SONY might not catch up to MS in sales this year. And you keep saying its a joke but you haven't played the thing. It was a top GB ladder and it got 10s in every major magazine review. You want a joke, look at Call of Duty. Half the CoDs suck(ones by Treyarch) and they all have poor stories. The online never gets any updates and are normally fun for about 2 months.

COD 1 was fun as hell... COD 2 was probably the best online game i've ever played, COD 3 was alright... woulda been alot better with mics but still 10x better than MGO. COD 4 has been fun online...

MGS 4, as i said if you would read more than 1 sentence looks alright.. I will probably rent it, do the campaign and dish it back to Blockbuster. MGO 2 on the other hand looks like a complete and utter joke. First off MGO was nothing special, and i've watched the Beta... sure i havnt played it, but watching the COD 4 beta did u not think it looked good? This MGO 2 looks like complete and utter shit and is gonna be overshadowed by any other game online.

If i took MGS away, ur right, it might take another year to catch up with MS... might. But I never said take away MGS, i think MGS will be a fine game. MGO on the other hand IS A COMPLETE AND UTTER JOKE. Sure i could waste my money and tell you that hiding in a barrel and letting ppl walk by just to walk up behind them and "knock" them out so they cant play until someone heals them or until "x" amount of time and they just die wont be very fun, but i would rather keep my money and buy something of any importance...

I know but I'm still trying to tell you that the game looks weird but is very fun. Everyone who played it on GB loved it. If it was popular on GB its not really a joke is it? I think it was #2 in popularity for PS2 Ladders. You really have to play it to get the idea. Its more based on fun than realism. Not saying its totally unrealistic but there was alot of stuff that was there for humor reasons. CoD4 was awesome when I first played. It had the flare but not the longevity. MGO had about 3/4 the flare of CoD4 but it entertained for a year. Lots of friends to play with. Fun sniping. Your entitled to your opinion, but when you say its a joke its like a vegetarian saying steak is horrible. Its just not your style even though tons of people love it. Doesn't mean it sucks.

MGO 2 isnt even on GB, so its not really being looked forward to...

If MGO 2 gets on GB, then the discussion can arise then... but until then i see games that arent even close to coming out, or games that had a ladder set up way before they came out.

And on the flip side of what you said, just because you like MGO online doenst mean it doesnt suck. And its not even close, MGO is a slow paced game, online is still based on hiding, and all around being pretty much a pussy. Your right, thats not my style... thats why i believe it will suck.

No, Sherlock Holmes. I meant MGO on PS2. MGS3 Subsistence was #2 on PS2 Ladders. #1 was SOCOM. They don't make ladders for games that don't come out for months.

And when 99% of every person who plays it likes it doesn't mean it doesn't suck? Your like the only one on the site saying it looks like shit so...

Theres no hiding in MGO except in one mode(Sneaking, go figure). And IN that mode only 1 guy sneaks while the rest try to kill him before he escapes with the disc he has to steal. Person who kills him is sneaking next round. Dude, its TDM, DM, CTF, and a mode like S & D basically. Thats why I believe you don't know shit about what your talking about.

Maybe im the only one that says anything because only like the same 15 - 20 people talk about it. The other billion ppl here dont care enough to say something one way or another... Im not gonna shy away from my opinion... I've said every game that looks like shit when i've seen it...

This is the only game that actually has fanoboy's so its understandable that you refuse to go watch the Beta and see how much hiding is involved.

First off, COD 2 > COD 4. I have no problem killing someone with a P90 and juggernut cuz it give me more of a reason to say something... I think COD 4 is fun, it was funner a month ago but its still fun. And COD 2 was the funnest game to play online ever.

Secondly im a FPS clone? My second favorite online game ever, as i mentioned, GoW... Third person. This thread was started by me, about Army of Two which again is Third Person. But yes, ima FPS clone.

Im sorry you cant stand it that someone doesnt like a game JUST because its a succesful series.

I'm just pointing out why the game doesn't suck. If I told you CoD4 sucked ass w/o have having played it, just because I didn't like how it looked, you(or most people atleast) would've done similar. "Why don't you like it? It looks like crap. Why? Looks like crap? Why?" and it would go on and on with the person defending it listing the cool things about it.

Hiding non stop, it looks like a shitty version of SOCOM when trying to move/shoot someone, and i think the hiding in a box 24/7 looks stupid as hell... Now you tell me what i should be excited about MGO...

You don't hide in a box the whole time. People run in boxes because it keeps their head down. Its fun for the same reasons as CoD4(the action) plus teamwork & comedy. Theres like no camping & its fast paced.
