the xbox maps cost 10 bucks , my son brought them, there 4 maps, china town from cod2 , the creek, the spec ops building and another building for close fighting. I called sony tech support and they said ,if you dont have the map pack you will deff get booted from the lobby when it starts. and the maps will cost 10 $ .infinity is charging xbox and sony for the R&Dthey had to do , to recoup some cash(like they havent already made enough)but I'll but them anyway.

xbox did get them for free =S because they pay 40 quid a year so they get there downlods for free :P

ok you now how you can got to a eb games or block buster and just buy wii points and xbox360 points thae need to make some thing like that for ps3 for the people that dont have credit cards so than more people will be able to get the new maps like my self

bull shit, my son had to pay 9.99 for them he lives in hamilton NJ and i'm sure so did everybody else in the world , get your 411 straight before you start tapping on the keys. and its infinity ward charging for them to recover the cash spent on r&d (research and developement) as I posted earlier. do you think they offered them to microsoft and sony for free and they decided to charge everyone instead ....LOL

It was touched upon in this thread but it sounds to me like this is a bit of a problem and the ideal solution would have been to have the extra maps, kinda outside the system. By that I mean that they are just randomly added when a game starts but the player has to select them to be available and will thereby go into a special lobby system for map pack owners only.

On a positive note.. I now have the Map Pack!!
Played on it briefly on split screen to see what they looked like.
I was impressed.

Originally I downloaded the pack on my UK account and wasn't able to play them on my 2 US copies.
It was only today I realised that one of my other PS3s has a US account!
