I have just read this thread and everyones posts and in my opinion all you guys who say fifa08 are obviously not true football fanatics. Pro Evo 2008 is the football game for all true football fanatics and this is why it is mainly big in Europe. Everyone knows football or 'soccer' is not that big in America compared to Europe which is why Pro Evo 2008 is big over here. I am not saying Fifa is terrible as i used to play it before i realised Pro Evo was better. Us Europeans like it because the amount of licensing isn't everything in a football game, what matters is how it plays and Pro Evo plays like a true football game. What i mean by this is how your players move, how they pass, how they challenge and how they shoot. Isn't it annoying in Fifa when you can't take the ball around an opposing player how unrealistic that. Sometimes when you are the brilliant Cristiano Ronaldo you have the urge to sprint down line past a player so you can whip in a cross for the forwards. Thats another thing have you noticed how most of the passes and shots in Fifa are inch perfect this just does not happen. I know this will be a new game and could be different but i have seen the trailers for Fifa 2008 and to me it still looks like the second best football game. Is there anyone else out there who agrees with me and is also a Pro Evo Fan?
yeh, pro is real football game, sometime I try play Fifa but it is not good enough to let me go pro

That's where you PES fans don't understand. There's two types of fans:
-Football fans
-Football Club fans
I'm a Liverpool supporter and I only use LFC when I play FIFA
You could say I buy it strictly to play with LFC. Even if I know the Merseyside Reds represent Liverpool, it doesn't feel right, it's like buying a counterfeit item. Now if you just love watching football, and do not passionately side with a team, PES is for you. But if you want something that makes you feel like you're with the team, it's better to play Manager Mode on FIFA. I'm probably by myself on this, but I buy FIFA for Liverpool and Liverpool only. I just enjoy playing with the team I know. I like noticing how players do the same thing in the game as they do in real life [Peter Crouch's robot celebration ]
My point is that some people don't worry about having licenses for all teams, it's just that it feels more familiar to play with your favorite team. No doubt, PES gameplay is superior, it's just way better to score a goal with your favorite player or get your team to the ECC Finals. It's way better than doing it with an imitation team

This is where us true Football Fans will use the Edit team option and then we will be scoring with the true players. One of the UK mags normally do a save on their coverdiscs with all players and clubs (I'm sure there will be one online somewhere as well) and then all we have to do is upload the save!
I cant believe anyone can choose fifa over pro ev!!!! Pro ev is 10 times better.. Ok so it isnt licensed but the gameplay is much better.. Every goal in fifa is the same as the last... Fifa is so poor its unreal...
But you gotta realize that was the past. FIFA 08 has improved. The camera angles are better, the gameplay is similar to PES, and the graphics just might be as good as PES for once. I'm 100% sure that this FIFA game will be better
