Yeah I have tried everything from Take-Two's 12 steps process to any suggestions I have found on this forum and others. Nothing seems to work.I actually thought about selling my 60gb on ebay cause I can still get about $600 for it there, and buy a 40gb. I would come out with about $200 ahead plus I would have a new warranty. I would lose backwards compatibility, 2 usb slots and memory card readers so I am not sure what I want to do.

I bought the game friday freezing ever 10-15min. Saturday called rockstar they say disable internet connection&autosave in game and that would fix=BS. l also asked about a patch=NO clear answer. When you call sony they just take info model#-date-email(mine 60gb NOV-06). Looks like im returning the game no GTA4 for me this sux!!

Whats funny is that me and my neighbor both have 60gb PS3s, and we both got them on launch day at the same store. His GTAIV plays perfectly fine and mine doesn't play at all. He plays with his internet connection on as well. He never had to do anything special, it just worked.

I do have keys to his house...hmmm...maybe I'll wait till he's home though and do it the right way...GTA style.
