Sounds like a PSU issue (Power Supply Unit). Quite easy to replace if Sony isnt any help. Send me a PM and I can send detailed instructions on removal/installation & where to source.

People are saying its something to do with the laser not reading properley. Worth checking though.

No power output? I think your mistaken there cuzza. If it was the laser, the consoles power shouldnt be affected. Only possibilty is BD Drive shorted, and blew the main PSU, but it would happen very abbruptly (i.e. Sudden loss of power)

You'll be able to get your PSN account back, providing you used a legit e-mail address.

Just go to the 'Sign In' screen and click 'Forgot Password'.
