after now waiting on my 4th replacement ps3 im slowly getting fed up with my ps3's breaking. ok maybe after the first one over heated i calmed down a bit on the usage, im just wandering if its me being sent out duff systems or does the ps3 have too many design glitches, as mine keep breaking in ways nobody has heard of yet like damaged hdmi port, bluetooth stopped working, usb ports malfunctioning, and on one my hard drive quite nicely formatted it self every time i switched it on, i have not yet experienced any of the common faults, and whats worse is that the warranty has now expired, so it means sweat talking the sony helpline workers in which most of the time i get a guy, or when i finally get a woman and put on the sexy voice i get the only ****ing woman working there who is a lesbian, lol but i got lucky today and got a warranty extention
Has any one experienced any of these problems or even got some other faults i can look forward to getting??????
btw i look after my ps3 better than my wife and kid so its not neglect that keeps breaking it lol
WELL IM GLAD TO SEE IM NOT ON MY OWN WITH THESE PROBLEMS , i havent had the blueray issue yet but my sisters went last week but im sure its gonnA get me soon, im a big xbox hater and i know they have issues too but sometimes i think i might have been better off getting one insted and this morning my ps3 was packed up for a trade in but it was like a funeral to me and i just couldnt do it,

its the dreaded 80 gb';s .. they have a design flaw that was supposed to be fixed when the MGS comes out in june sometime. its a different color and its supposed to be redesigned inside to help stop these problems . I started a thread 7 weeks ago . and tried to make a list of all the 80's that have fried and just a couple of prople responded .so instead I wrote to sony's head offices in san meato california. and a senior rep called me and handled my third exchange for a refurbished unit. and said if the unit fails again he would personally see to it that I could either change to a 40 ( which I dont want bacause of the memory slots and the backwards compatability) or a new MGS unit thats coming out. I have done a lot of research on the 80 gb's and found that when they first debuted in japan they all froze up in there tent at the show . that was a first chance for sony to do something about the problem but soon sony realized that the parts that were subed out . some subs made inferior products that sony didnt find out about intil the problems started to occur. thats why the 80's arent being mahufactured anymore and the new redone 80's for metal gear solid are coming out . .. I have much more info on the 80's if you want . its to much to type here . we need to start a class action suit if sony doesnt replace every 80's they sold that have the faulty parts inside. .. what do you think
also one more thing. sony said if you use the intercooler on the 80's it will void your warranty. my third 80 gb unit has frozen up 14 times in the 3 weeks since it arrived. my son has a 40 gb and he play's the shit out of it and no problems are reported . and I rented a 40 when I last sent mine in for repair and it did run a lot cooler than my 80 gb unit. also a sony rep called to see how my new unit was running . I told like shit and he had me turn off some things in the system setup area so it wouldnt work so hard . and it helped a little , only froze
the 3rd 1 they sent me had a faulty blu-ray drive lol your not the only one experiencing these problems
