system update problem

guys im trying to update my system from 1.31 to 1.54. i put the new update into a sd memory card. i pluged it into the ps3 and says
"no application update data was found"

what do i do?

You can either do 2 things:

You can either do 2 things:
1. If you have cable or DSL or wireless internet or somthing to hook up your ps3 to the internet, you can update it in there. You go to system update and click via internet.

2. You could put the SD memory card thing in then try to find it on your ps3, dont click system update just yet, look around like in the system XMB and see if you can find a icon to click to see it. I'll look around for one when I get a chance
