it also came with an application called "Folding@home" which u donating computing power to help cure disease and it lets u see every PS3 in the world on a 3d rotating globe the update also contains sum handy internet options like :Zoom,WMA playback,Disc Auto~Start,Resolution,Flicker,full on screen keyboard (that makes typing with the SIXAXIS much easier) an thats all i really noticed bet!

Alls i know is it help to unlock the mysteries of some diseses or something like that. Im not sure how the teams thing works but i started one so if you wanna join the team number is 54814. I've been running the folding@home all night last night after the update.

The update kinda pisses me off for 2 reasons. Number one we still cant change the background thats all I really wanted. Number 2 I can no longer use remote play with my PSP because you have to register your PSP on the PS3 but when i tried it said i needed to update the PSP witch i dont want to do. I have 3.03-C OE custom firmware so i can run homebrew and customize the XMB like PIC. below witch is my current PSP theme.

Nah, I dont think that will be available for many months.
SONY are aware that we want a way to communicate with people whilst online...

I mean, how effin annoying is it when you load up COD3 multiplayer online and then somebody sends you a message..
You have to leave the match, leave the game and read the message.
hardly ideal...

I thought this too, but I cant seem to do any multitasking. can I listen to music while I'm, say, checking out my pictures or surfing the internet? It sure doesn't seem to that way to me. Or am I just too stupid to figure it out? I know one thing I am; dissapointed. This update doesn't seem to have really done shit for me.
You know what else pisses me off? All these little things we sit here talking about. Wishing for and waiting for Sony to release an update and make us happy. What the hell was Sony doing, did everone just take the year off, sit on their couch and get stoned? You know, I don't know what they were doing, but It probably would have been better if they had just sat on their couch, got high, looked at thier screen, and wondered if somehow, maybe just somehow, they could make it so I could choose my own ****ing background. Why is there no in game chat in COD3? Did they think no one would notice? I have been an avid supporter of the PS3, because it has ass-laods of potential. But I'm starting to wonder, next time someone asks me if I like mine, and if they should get one, what will I say?
Well, anyway, I'm ranting. I need to calm down. I'm going to go downstairs, sit on my couch. In front of my 65" Mutsu DLP, with a $6,000 sound system to back it up, turn on the MOST EXPENSIVE GAME CONSOLE ON THE PLANET, and find a cure for cancer.

Have to agree with you there.
SONY were made well aware of the bells and whisles, that us fans were after, soon after launch.
There really isnt an excuse for this dealy on the simple stuff.

The COD3 non-mic situation is a faux pas of the highest degree but it not a surprise. The game servers are actually down to the publisher, Activision (with help from SONY). Its pretty obvious that Activision rushed a copied version of the 360 COD3 to make it in time for launch and bag all the early sales...

Unfortunatly, we've had to suffer ever since with a badly flawed and glitched game that even now they can't be arsed to fix.

You only have to look at Insomniac who have bent over backwards to get the errors sorted out in their game.

On top of that, getting on a COD3 server is a joke.

Adding mic support.... Sorry, I dont think it's going to happen...

Our only hope is that SONY allow mic conversations regardless of what else you are doing on the PS3, a bit like Skype... Yeah, ps3 skype... christ , theres a money making idea for them.. !

I didn't read all that but you can listen to music while you look at your pictures & surf the net. After you start your music press the PS button then go to pictures or web browser but thats all you can do. you cant go to XMB settings or PS store while listening to music.

then to get back to either your music or pictures to change the song or picture just press the PS button again
