COD4 1080P probs
Ho come when I play COD4 I have to deselect 1080i and 720P on my display settings to get it to play in 1080P? If I leave it to an auto choice it plays in 720P? Any ideas? It's a pain in the backside, if I then go to play something like MotorStorm and forget to reset the display settings it boots up in 576P (or whatever it is)!

Happens to me!
I got it to run by doing that but it gets annoying. I also did it on assassin's creed but I got a disk error through the game.

hmmm whe i play mine sets itself to the required HD settings never had to fo it manually thats a pain if you have to do that alls i can say is try fidling around with the settings

LMfao.....i've never had to play it in 1080i or p cuz it just runs in 720 normally. But i can't really imagine it looking much more nicer than it already is.

My tv auto selects what the game is made to run in and cod4 doesn't support 1080p...even the back of the case doesn't show cod4 supporting 1080p...only games i have found that support 1080p are a few from the ps store.

sorry for you that happend to me once to it went away the day after i took it back to game stop (take your ps3 back to game stop or theres a problem with your hdmi if you don't have hdmi than it's your t.v. :]

seriously guys this game supports 1080p. it is amazing. if your tv supports 1080p then manually select 1080p on your ps3 display settings and then see!

SmileyBob, you were right...I just wonder why the ps3 sends the signal in 720p when my tv is in auto and is capable of 1080p...seems like maybe an update for the ps3 would be able to fix this so I don't have to go to display settings all the time. 1080p looks quite a bit better...maybe too much better because I went negative all weekend...where when I was playing in 720p I almost always went positive...maybe I just had a bad weekend cause I would consider myself an average player.
