Adding Friends?
Hey all, I finally played COD4 on my PS3 for the first time yesterday. I'm very firmiliar with the game, had it on 360.
So now that i'm starting to mess with the multiplayer portion of the game how do I go about adding friends and sending messages?
I think I read something about you cant send messages while in the game?
Also, I need to get a headset, what do yall recommend?

Re: Adding Friends?
I believe you can add Friends whilst you are actually playing Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 but I am not sure about COD4.
At worst, take a note of their PSN id and send them a friend request when you've finished playing.
Hopefully, an experienced COD4 player may shed some light on it for you.

Re: Adding Friends?
Thats right, you cannot send a friend request to another player whilst online in call of duty 4. i guess thats what you were asking and do indeeed know how to send a 'normal' friend request.
as for a mic..
well, any bluetooth or usb headset will do the job and you can set it up under Audio Settings once you are logged into your ps3.
I would recommend an decent pair with soft earpads as you will likely be wearing them for a long time as time flies when you are online!

You can't see the players met in cod4. And you have to come out of the game to add msg etc.
But the in game XMB (The menu on the ps3) is out soon...

Re: Adding Friends?
For a mic I would recommend the motorola h700...it runs around $100...a little pricey but I don't have any problems out of it.

Re: Adding Friends?
ya i have bluetooth and a ps2 mic, not a big fan of the bluetooth so i use my USB ps2 mic, got it on ebay for like 8 bucks. anyways ya you can now see players you play with on cod4 on the main ps3 screen, so from there you can simply add them to your list. in game XMB will hopefully come out soon so we can start sending messages in game.
