To Clarify: The imformation board on the XMB.
The situation if people's passwords for their PSN account have been recovered on peoples E-mail Inbox, and people may have had their account tampered with, or maybe their Stor Funds. Whilst they can not directly recover your Credit Card, for their own purposes, they can however spen your money in the store.
So basically, try signing onto you PSN account with out the auto password and check its still the same.
