PS3 WiFi Help!!!!!
I was hoping you guys can help me out. I have wireless connection in my home and my range expander out side my bedroom where my gaming adapter, wireless PC, PSP and the PS3 are all located. For some reason, the WiFi for the PS3 keeps "dropping" the signal like a cheap cell phone . All the other items have a constant signal but the PS3 keeps logging off. I have it set with my wireless router and when the PS3 scans, it sees my router and says 100% signal strength. Literally 30 seconds later, it goes to not signal, then 100% signal then no signal. I've talked to Linksys and Sony and both were clueless. It's more of a PS3 problem since my other wireless devices don't have the same problem. Anyone have any idea what maybe wrong or experiencing the same problems and find a solution? Let me know thanks in advance.

I only thought that you could hook-up 4 things to it, since it only has 4 ethernet slots

Re: PS3 WiFi Help!!!!!
do you own a cordless phone? using one can interfere with wifi connections. (although it would/should also mess up the connections on your other devices as well as the ps3)
depending on your version of linksys router, you may be able to put 'special' firmware on it, which is very impressive. it can boost signal strength and reliability, as well as many other things. HyperWRT - Home Page

Re: PS3 WiFi Help!!!!!
Thanks for the replies. Well I have the latest Range Expander and my whole set up is wireless. The only problem I have is with the PS3. I have a cell phone and there is a cordless phone but they are not in constant use to interfere with the signal. Also again, the PSP WiFi works fine in the same area I only experience this problem with the PS3

Re: PS3 WiFi Help!!!!!
have you tried moving the ps3 to a different elevation, on the floor vs. on your tv stand and whatnot. i know it might seem weird, but just like in a microwave, there are hot spots. move your ps3 around, chances are the only difference between all your other gadgets and the ps3s is their surroundings/elevations in the room. let me know if it works.
