I dont think I've used a previous update feature ever. If this has the ability to read and send messages to people on the friends list then great, I would use that.


I didn't have 2.40, by the way... must have missed it somehow.

there was some problems with 2.40 .. some ps3s freezing ect..
so they cancelled 2.40 .. thats why some people didnt get to download it.
theres nothing new in 2.41 (i think) its just a patch for 2.40

hehe i dont have 2.4 either i unplugged the ps3 while downloading...so wont let me download anymore...hopefully i get in-game XMB from this 1

There were lots of PS3s bricking so they updated the firmware so it was rather like a bug fix.

Although the platinum trophy has been updated.

Here is a link where you can find info on PSN update 2.41. It has not been updated yet by Sony. So it will still say 2.36, just have some patience and it will be updated.

LMFAO you didn't miss anything.....lagged up my offline games, imagine trying to fly a spaceship around a planet and have aliens lagging at you The ability to communicate while in game was great though.

you know, before u start the update it does say that ur ps3 might not turn back on if u do that.

I agree, this should have been available since launch. If a console with 5 less processors and a 30% failure rate could do it in 2005, why did we have to wait until 2008?

its for all the consoles that went wrong during the update aparently a lot of ps3s went wrong after the update this update is to fix that problem, so its nothing big.

I didnt even see 2.40. I guess loads of people didnt download it during the window of opportunity.. Some people, like me, just dont go on it every day so we missed it. it was only available (2.40) for a very short time before they removed i.so.. 2.41 is indeed very BIG for me.. XMB is a terrific change and darn handy.
