I believe you may need to put the PSP into USB Mode....

Not sure how you do this though.

Should answer your questions. Not got a PSP myself so never tried a PSP-PS3 connection.

Put "PS3" in the search box.

Well, these are the step by step instructions on how to Connect your PSP and PS3 in Remote Play if thats what you want:

1. Go to your Network Settings and choose Remote Play Connection Settings

2. Enter you SSID this is the name your to recognize when you use your PSP

This is the only way you can connect your PS3 with your PSP "NO ROUTER NEEDED" WPA is the standard

Now enter the password of your choosing

Now Save your Settings by pressing X

Before setting up your PSP make sure that the Remote Play feature is activated on your PS3

4. On your PSP go to network setting

Choose the Infrastructure setting

Choose New Connection

Now choose Scan

Your PSP will scan your area and it will find your PS3 connection the way you notice is your PS3 is by the name you gave your connection while setting up your PS3

Now choose the AES setting

And enter the password you set when you configured your PS3 before

choose easy at the Address setting screen

now enter the name you want so you can identify your connection to the Remote Play setting i choose ofcourse Playstation3

then save your settings

then test your connection you should get 100% feedback if not follow the steps again but most likely you will get 100% keep in mind that you have to have your PS3 at the Remote Play screen or else the psp wont scan it

now go to Remote Play on your PSP

choose the connection that you just made

if it connect successfully you will see this screen and PRESTO YOU HAVE REMOTE PLAY!!!!!!!!!
