home network problem?

ok, everytime i leave cod3 and go to the ps3 menu thing, i get signed out of the network...i have DMZ'd my ps3 and i tried it without dmz'ing it and it still does it...does anyone have a clue as to what i have done wrong???it's really frustrating to have to keep signing back in.....any suggestions would be great!

I am guessing when you got it back you had to set it up again? I believe that during the setup process there is a check box that says sign in automatically and keep me signed in. You may need to go back and check some setup preferances. What you described does not sound like a DMZ non DMZ networking problem. Besides you should run you PS3 protected don't be foolin round with the DMZ unless you have connection problems.

absolutely correct......No one should ever enable there DMZ, unless you are gonna act as a server and because we all connect to sony...sony should be only one to enable ther DMZ. But yeah you may have to do what KR said. Is this the ps3 that you had to send to get fixed? if so this may be issue where they crossed something up. Sounds like instead of just quiting game you are shutting down the system aswell....this may all be related to your ps3 being made on a monday or friday.

lol, well i looked around and all the possible auto sign in things i could find are on and its still doing it...!!and no, this is a brand spankin' new one...i had to replace the other one...this one is brand new fresh from best buy..lol...

hey msbtch the same thing happens to me also.. iy ***in pisses me off! everytime i quit a game it signs me out of the network... then i have to wait at least 1-3 min just to log back thats GAY!!!!!! i hate ps3 imma get a 360 now!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well if it happens to both of yours, then it might be the internet (don't know how though). I would say try sending in your cable modem to replace a new one. I went over to my cable provider and told them my old problem I had with signing on the PS3 and they just handed me a new modem, didn't have to pay a cent. It might work/ might not, but atleast you got yourself a new modem.

Or go to geek squad at bestbuy, I'm sure they know your name by now, they might be able to help.

That sounds like what would happen to me and now since that I disable the media sever in the network connections and that solve my problem and doesnt disconnect anymore. .

The only problem with 360 online is u have to pay per month

you can pay for the whole year, i can't remember how much it was though...about $50...which isn't that much for a whole year!!
