They told you the 30th because that's when they probably are going to get it. Some stores ship it on the release date and get it the next day, other stores may ship it the day before to receive it on the due date.

from my retail knowledge. they probably already have it in stock but are told not to put it out until 30th. i seen things in the warehouse of circuit city 5 days before the release date
