1.90 UPDATE ANY DAY

With the 1.9 update hitting Japan last week us Europeans will get it this week (poss on Tuesday). All good news but what does it do? Here's the list:

Ability to rearrange games on the XMB
Option menu now includes "eject disc"
Press triangle on the XMB to eject the disc
XMB backgrounds
Change the folder classification
Emoticons
Change CD output to 44.1/88.2/176.4kHz
Force 24Hz output for Blu-ray over HDMI
Change PS3 video settings in-game
"Bit Mapping" in the "Music Setting"
Save AVCHD type animations from a Memory Stick
Change settings like upscaling while playing PS and PS2 games
Add bookmarks
Web browser security function in the browser's tool section
Avatar moves during audio visual chat

I will confirm all of this as it becomes available as the list was compiled by someone else!

Will it fix the problem of booting me to my XMB screen for no reason???which conveniently started after the last update!!

What Sony needs to do is make it compatible with most codecs I can't play most of my AVI files because it supports only Mpeg and motion JPG. I'm tired of spending hours converting movies and videos

Don't know dude, never heard that one before, do you have a bluetooth headset by any chance? It could be that the last update upset it.

nope(got a usb headset i've used from the beginning), changed nothing played rainbow day before fine..downloaded the update, now i get kicked to my XMB screen at random times....i know of a few more people this happens to...gets annoying sometimes!!!

This happened to me too, but only when I was playing RB6...but the good news for me is I don't like RB6 so it doesn't happen anymore.

XMB in game? That's what i want added to that list...cuz i have an elite and i love the music-in-any-game feature...i wish sony would hurry up with it.

I just use earphones haha
I want them to fix it so I can reply to messages without leaving the game
And so we can still chat while playing a game that doesn't have mic support
