HELP!!

I can't sign onto my PS3 and everytime I try it says..
An error occured during the communicaction with the server. This is a DNS error. (80710102)

What the hell does that mean, and how do I fix it.

Also, I ran the internet connection test and it says I'm not connected to the internet.

go through ur connection settings and reset them, make sure ur ps3 is connected wirelessly or wired. then try again.

Reset your PS3. If it doesn't work, then reset your router. Unplug your modem, then router, and leave them sit for 5 minutes so they reset themselves. Then plug the modem in, followed by the router and it should work. If it doesn't work try again. I've learned alot from my dad. Hes a tech.

That doesn't work if your router has an error and can't connect to the Domain Name Server.

My advice would be, just turn eveything off. Then back on again.

This is the message you get when your internet connection fails. It is a router problem, but the weird thing is your PC is on the net. Do you normally have both on at the same time?

Well, I have my laptop running while I play PS3. And sometimes my computer is on too. I did what Fox and Snake Hunter told me to do but nothing worked.

Its the routers connection the PS3. I have this problem almost everyday but I just have to reset my PS3. Months ago it was less common but I had to reset router.

Have you tried disconnecting your other equipment and trying just PS3? What type of internet are you running (cable, ADSL etc) if you require a filter then you may find it is the filter that has failed.
