why are there soooo many fanboys out there dissin' the ps3?! are they just jealous or hoping it will fail spectaulary?! at the end of the day, sony are one of the biggest companies in the world, with a history of amazing hardware and games, so why would they fail?! they have spent hundreds of millions of £ developing the ps3, so do these 'idiots' really think that sony will allow it to fail!!! high price...sure, but its bleeding edge technology and im in no doubt whatsoever that once developers get to grips with the CELL and the RSX, the games will be mindblowing!!! PS3 RULES!!!!!!!! anyone agree?!

yeah....i can't stand the ps3...what garbage...i don't play on it all day everyday, because it has a poopmouth.....i'd rather play on my overheating 360 as its much more powerful and is just glorious.....i poop on the ps3.... lol....

There were so many bashers because SONY is the biggest and has the furthest to fall!
SONY really set themselves up with bigging up the PS3 and when it below perfect the media was very quick to pounce...

It looks like a lot of progress is being made but it is still early days.

you know the funny thing is that for the 360 to play hd dvds you have to buy a $200 add on drive which brings the price to $600...which is kind of ironic

I totally agree. It's really annoying. I should be able to enjoy the ps3 launch without having to put up with people bashing it. If u don't like it just forget it. People seem to hav developed a grudge against sony, and i'm sick of hearing this, 'OH the roles hav turned. Sony hav become the big money grabbing corporation and Microsoft is becoming the gamers friend. Microsoft is all perfect and great..." Yeah right, microsoft are just as greedy as the rest of em and if ur not careful your gonna end up being robbed. I don't hate microsoft but when a corporation has this much power and they do something u don't agree with it's not good. They still over charge on their software and i'm a tad pissed off about this Vista O.S at the moment, but because they hav so much power in that area one day i'll hav no choice but to get it whether I like it or not. With competition comes choice and if one corporation makes a bad choice that u don't agree with u can just switch and it won't screw up the entire industry. For this reason I'm sick of all this microsoft domination talk, but I wouldn't want neither sony or nintendo to dominate either, it's not a good thing!!! (soz, just had to get that off my chest)... lol...

Anyway back on topic, yeah it's very annoying. I don't like the 360 or Wii but i'm not sad enough to go around their forums dissing them. People are mad at sony because they made a lot of promises and couldn't keep em and so on and so on... I think most corporations make mistakes, sometimes something may look good on paper but not in real life and things end up getting ditched. It's just the way life is and it's important not to get too hooked up on some of the features that could be possible in the near future, that way you'll never feel disappointed and you'll just be happy with wat you've got when it finally comes. As you said, they've put a lot of money behind the PS3 and despite a few mistakes, and as I keep telling myself, i'm sure that Sony are not dumb enough just to let it fail and with their history i've developed a lot of trust. They never let me down before so y should they now... I don't hav a problem with fanboys, everyones a fan of something, but it's not fair to diss people if they don't agree with u...

Someone told me something about the ps3's online services being an absolute failure, everyone hates it, the friend lists don't work properly and so on. Yet everyone i've talked to said it was ok. I just wanna clear things up, the net is an unreliable source on information and I don't always believe wat I read on it, so is it really as bad as they make out? I suppose even if it was they'd just make an upgrade for u to download later anyway...

yeah, the messaging system is great.
You can headphone chat and send SMS type messages whenever you wish. You get instant notification when a buddy is online.

AND.... In the next one or two updates they are supposed to be bringing out PS3 'home' (?) which takes community comunication to another level.

Its supposed to allow designated buddies certain levels of access to our PS3 in that they can view your files in your 'Home' area.
This means you can tel a load of friends to check out your new video and they can go online, into your 'home' and view it.

i agree I have seen both and I love my PS3 more with all the functions it has and the remote play with PSP is a big plus to for me. There online needs to be better cause microsofts xbox live is great but with the ps3 home service to come out the PS3 will dominate. Im not no fan boy either i just prefer how the system is set up and the functions of the system along with games thats why i prefered my original xbox over my PS2 but now im back to sony with the PSP & PS3.
