No PS3 reservations Until September

This is a big shock to many people but rumors have been going around that all game stores are not going to be taking any pre orders or reservations on Systems untill September.
That really stinks a lot.
Whats your opinion?

It may actully be smart so they can get an acurrate count on the number of ps3 being produced, so they do not have the trouble that microsoft had were you had to scoure the country looking for 360s. Even the poeple with pre orders had to wait months to get them.

There are certainly some places taking pre-orders but they may not be 'officially sanctioned'.

Whatever happens, there is bound to be a mad Xmas rush and the inevitable shortage.. :(
