PS3 update 1.60

i saw online that they are bringing out update 1.60. This update alows u too open up PSN while in-game. Now u can talk to people while in game and probably even start a chat with them while u play too

wher'd you see that because the only thing i have seen that they stated for 1.6 was able to DL'd off PS store while doing other things on PS3 besides play'n a game and we will be able to put our own background like PSP

There are 2 things that I feel are INCREDIBLY important realting to this:

1. That we can download updates/games in the background whilst we do other things like play games.
2. We can answer messages whilst playing a game..

Regarding number 2, theres nothing more frustrating than having to jump out of a good game cos a message from somebody pops up on the screen and yo need to read it.
If you can read the message quickly and gte back to the game then great..

cool, hopefully it does come out by the end of this month cause they were saying that the update was on the 8th and that was a rumor so i cant wait.

I believe that the 1.60 update will coincide with the release in Europe, so the 23rd, I believe. I hope something big gets launched as well, like a handful of downloadable games. Or... maybe some new maps for Resistance . I think I am being too hopeful.

Yea I think it'll be out on the UK launch date. I doubt they'll add any new games simply because there's enough for them to get started already. The only possibility in my mind would be Warhawk.

The Resistance map packs are scheduled for a May release - IGN said they would have screens of them a few weeks ago...so far nothing yet. Hopefully they will hold off on releasing the maps to the UK for a while so they have the chance to experience the original maps and the original game before adding onto it.
