update 2.0 is shit

there was ment 2 b some good things on it but there is'nt. i was lookin forward 2 playin a game then goin 2 main menu at the same time this is a big let down. The only good thing about this update is that every1 ps3 run much faster

There's no benefit to gaming in this update, or any update for that matter, but If you love to stare at a TV while you listen to music or are amazed by changing some fonts or reading Playstation news (that hadn't shown me anything yet) then knock yourself out.

Great. Besides that I have a question. Does your ps3 makes a fan noise? I guess when it gets hot and it is cooling itself down. Do I have to worry about it ever getting too hot to the extend that it will turn itself off?

yh when i had my fan on the ps3 after about 2 weeks its started becoming noisy and very .... whats the word. well clicking out of line. so i just havent put in scince so i let the ps3 inter fan do the job. i can barley hear the ps3. dont worry parts of ps3 will get hot dosent its just the hot air its blowing out .

If your one of those whiners complaining about 2.0 just STFU. You shouldve known yesterday what was in it and you could've complained last night. Ok, this is a good update compared to what shit we normally get(yeah, shouldve been there at launch) so just stop whining. If you were expecting HOME or In Game XMB you are a noob because it was mentioned 2 weeks ago In Game XMB would not be in this update and if HOME BETA is in December why would they launch HOME before the the BETA??? Pretty much just stop whining. Every update people get all pissed. We don't care if you hate it. Keep your opinions to yourself. SONY needs to start putting some good gaming updates on instead of media/customizable updates though. I agree with that.

I actually do like the update, I haven't played a game since, but the XMB is a bit slower. Well it's not, but it feels like it, due to the Information bar loading. It just makes it seem slower.

The Themes are ****ing awesome. So are the Chats.

yeah i really havn't taken the time to appreciate the time on how many times my ps3 can actually freeze now before i can even get into the game.... this update ****ed me up. havn't done chats though, not sure what that's like...

But the background looks like you're in a blank white room.
And the options and settings and stuff are in a toolbar at the bottom

It really looks nicer, not so 'glued together' anymore
