PS3 games online tournaments and events with regular competitions and Leaderboards

Hey Guys, I have been a madden gamer since 95. IN the 2007 PS3 version I cannot create another user profile. I have my profile on it but wanted to create one for my friend. I don't see anywhere to pick a profile as the 2nd user. Can anyone help with this? So when I play him, he has to change the configuration buttons uses all the time.

I'm just speculating but if this is not possibleit may be because of how they wanted to setup the online play and make sure each user has one identity only..

I guess setting him as a seperate PS3 user on your PS3 main menu makes no difference ?

Not really, it is either his name or my name when we go into the game. There is nothing in the book on it either.

Thinking about it, Is this possible with any of the games of rthe PS3?

Everytime one of my family wants to play Call of Duty 3, for example, we have to close the game and they have re log-in as their own PS3 user.
There seems to be no way to switch users once youre actually in a game.

As mentioned, Its probably due to the online thing... THe PS3 needs to log on as a single user. It doesnt ask 'which user are you logging on as', for example.

So maybe this is a PS3 gremlin and Madden couldnt do this.
Maybe its a thing that will be updated with a patch, dunno.

You can see the stretch marks on their arms the graphics are so good. Its is a much better game then the PS2 version.

mm, never considered Madden... Always wondered how they can manage to transfer the game and atmosphere to the small screen.
I'm not generally a fan of sports games on consoles though Project 8 looks good if you count that as a sport..!

Whats madden like online? Can you get mutiplayer games do people make up whole teams ? that would be cool. you could have major events and stuff...

If you watch football and enjoy it and are in fantasy football leagues and own football gear, and follow your favorite football team, then get it cuz it is pure amazing, but if you dont like football, then dont get it, SIMPLE AS PIE

the players move kinda slow if you ask me....but other than that its a great pickup

well they aren't going to move like 40 yards in a second, that would be un realistic, I think they run just fine, only when you fumble it and an offensive linemen picks up the ball, he can run it all the way in for a touchdown

Is the online even worth trying cuz i had carbon and i caouldn't WIN a race without disconnecting from the EA server?!?

lmao, umm....online is alright, i get on and someone just keeps throwin hail mary's to the same guy when i set up field goal blocks, some people are like 600-0 i played one and quit 15 seconds into the game lol...
