that wasnt an insulting comment i was just telling you about the fact that if you read on the ps store it says in the description, up and running from 21st, oh and i can relate to the whole slow update download, mine was worse was at 3kbps for ages and at nite it peaked at 20kbps so i left it on and slept in a different room, haha

actually nevermind answering that question i found out from the mgo webpage
Metal Gear Online Premiere Beta will be available as a free download on the PLAYSTATION® Store from April 17th (12:00 CEST) until May 6th (10:00 CEST).

The beta phase features two maps, four gameplay modes, the SOP System that encourages up to 16 players to team up and share information, and deep skill-customization. Also equipped with auto-matching and training modes, the game offers players a sneak peak of this totally new approach to console-based competitive gaming.

The Premiere Beta of Metal Gear Online starts on April 21st (00:00 CEST) and ends on May 6th (24:00 CEST).

Metal Gear Online will be included with Metal Gear Solid 4, which will be released on June 12, 2008.

Ok, I did my math. It starts at Midnight in Central European Standard Time which is UTC+2. Eastern Standard Time is UTC-5. Therefore, the servers will be up at 5PM tomorrow night meaning I will have 6 hours to no-life. Can anyone +Rep me for pointing this out?

So, I don't know whether I should run my beta from my USA account or the UK account I made to get it.

I just finished downloading the update which took 2+ hours fml. Now it's installing, I swear this beta is such a hassle. It better be worth it.

Torents rely primarily on seeders, not your connection. Just because you downloaded it in 14 min doesn't mean you have a good connection, you just had lots of seeders.
