PS3 games online tournaments and events with regular competitions and Leaderboards

WTF!?

Never seen anything like it..
My kid called me into the room as he was struggling. He was on some Konami website. The registration process took ages as there were so many questions, doubles checks, two lots of IDs to create (which had to be original) and then after we had managed to succesfully register a message popped up about checking an email to activate the online payment process. ?! What!?

For a minute I thought you had to pay a subscription to get online!
As it happens you can buy extra characters but you do get on character free (another ID setup... ).. so thats nice of them.

All this after having to access the download update and never having being able to get on until I hooked up the ethernet cable and changed some settings.

No other games are like this and if this is the future of gaming then they can shove it up their asses. :)

yh that shit is shit....i dont play MGS4 online...just complete the story and wait for BF BC

so ****in' laggy, havn't played a decent game before in my life..i give up..every time i die, it says i die at least 3 times before I can get back in and try again...then I shoot someone, i have to wait 15 SECONDS to say i killed him....****in' a.

yea thats BS u have to go through that sign up process. a pain in the rectum if u ask me. and u cant even change wat ur charactor looks like so if u dont like it, u need to buy another 1

just got it. had a quick go on the campaign but getting no where fast. i had a pop on to the online and gave up! will try it again later. just cant be arsed at this moment in time.

looks like a good game though.

I don't know what you guys are talking about, it took me 30 minutes max to set my online up. I haven't had any lag at all and the online is freakin sweet. It's awesome running around the map and then hiding under a box, popping out when the enemy runs past, and stabbing them with the stun knife! They got some fun game modes like Stealth where you gotta find snake.

It's nowhere near as exciting as CoD4 but it beats GTA's online by far I think

Well, I think they made it like that because Konami has said forever that it's just a 'starter pack' and they want to keep it going for 10 years. So, with that said, I think Konami will release a game committed entirely to MGO in the future, and you have to log in with your ID's. I didn't mind it much, got mine done with the beta..:), p.s. I Kick major ass at MGO, but I need teamates to join my clan, anyone interested?

oh yea. I remember that grueling process. I got it the day it came out and I was so anxious to get online and play. I ended up sitting for two hours just to set everything up. and I was penning down loads of different passwords because none of the ones that I had in mind seemed to fit the criteria. it was quite frustrating. I didn't mind it so much after I finally jumped into a tdm. I had a great time. proved to be well worth the trouble.
