Worst Online Game ever !!?

This game is a complete load of crap.
It been completely spoiled. Offline its pretty good if you like 12 hour movies.

Online is where it is at these day and quite frankly this game is pants.

A bit strong? Here are my reasons?

1. The sign up process, enough said.
2. The shooting is a complete lottery. Somtimes you;ll have full health and die with one shot to the left big toe whilst unable to kill somebody from behind with 10 shots to the head.
3. Stun Knife.. WTF? Its a ridiuclous weapon, takes you out of the game for ages and lets you be killed in a very frustrating way which eventually pisses you off massively with the game. If youre anywhere near them your stunned and some ****ers leave it ages to finish you off. They think its cool and makes them look like a hero. You spend a whole minute before respawning. What kind of game is this?
4. Those bloody porn magazines. Youre trying to play a shooting game and your character suddenly stops in his tracks for ages and is at anybody's mercy. This actually sums the whole game up. Instad of a hardcore shooter we end up with an overaly Japanese Manga cartoon anime bullshit bollocks.
5. Its so complicated, anybody without a decent knowkledge of the game will be completely buggered.
6. cant get my effin mic to work. Do they work in this game? I've never heard anyone yet.
7. You have to PURCHASE extra characters. This is a VERY dangerous and dodgey slope we are travelling. In this becomes commonplac we are all going to ****ed in the ass. Don't fall for it.
8. Snake.. an near invisible man. Yeah, right.
9. Third Person View - Bloody crap.
10. Rooftops, cardboard box, loads of sniper options, hiding places. campers paradise.


I can see what they are trying to do but it has more stupid settings than COD4 even and they've ruined it. I'm very disappointed.

Of course, this is just my view of it all... :)

you forgot to mention atrocious spawncamping at will, problem with side balancing and starting off with too many grenades.

best thing y ou can do online in this game is get straight into the cardboard box and marvel at the graphics of its sides for the duration of the game/. hehe

i take it that you guys get killed a lot in the game, it's basically a love hate thing once again, i love it, it has soo much potential, and at least it tries to mix things up with the sneaking mission, and the reason snake is invisible is because your not meant to be focusing on him your really focusing on the other team as they're trying to kill you snake just wants your tags, its trying to show you how the guards in the single player game see snake, or dont see him perhaps. sure it may seem like a typical online shooter, but really the concepts in this game are unique and at least they try to make the traditional game modes a bit more interesting, and the whole purchasing system, its understandable, but i agree with you on that, at least there not charging you for weapons in a shyte game *cough*battlefieldbadcompany*cough*

I have a an issue with the game names..

You go through the stupid sign up process and make up some names for the konami AND game id. Problem is I really did just make one up and now its the name I have it the game and bears no resemblence to my PSN!

Anybody know how to change it.

Darn annoying. Guess I'll have to buy another character and name it after my PSN id.

It is very easy to get un spawn camped, epsecially when u have 2-3 guys spawing with u...and if sniper are camping u its fairly easy for u and another guy to take him out.oh..u must suck at aiming too......oh, and people use the magizines as a strategy, and to tell u the truth, grenades arent THAt deadly.and as for the headshots, its a realistic game, unlike cod4

the hosts are usually shit...after i'm killed once, i die like 3 other times before i really respawn...my bullets don't hit the person until seconds after he has time to kill me and run off...but he doesn't die...even tho i was shooting the back of his head with his back to me.

mgs shouldn't go online? wtf you shouldn't go online, nay you shouldn't leave the comfort of your bed in the morning if your gonig to talk crap like that, if you suck at a game or don't know how to play it you practice, and mgo has a unique section online which helps you, uno the whole "training section" train from people who are better than you etc. if your shit at least appreciate the game, its better online than haze, turok, and loads of other titles yet because those games are easier to master noone complains about them, if a game is too much hassle for you you would be better going ahead and suking some male body part than complaining on a forum, goddamned douche

I've got a couple of copies now and play with/against my son.

This game has some flaws for sure, a lot of the bad points are true and definatelt frustrating but Ryanan also has a good point. Its is a much harder game to master as its more complex in its set up and you have to think a bit more rather than running around amok. mainly, it the third person view. Those used to COD and Rainbow may pick it up , think its diabolical and put it down again. You reall need a bit of patience and forgive its flaws, which are many.
If your new to the game you MUST go in the autoskill balancing section otherwise you will get owned badly and give up on the game.

Spawncamping is really bad in it for some reason. Maybe it mostly because of the usual uneven teams an ease of domination.

My biggest problem with the game is the Health factor. You should either live or die. This health going down is utter bollocks. It means you could be excellent and kill a couple of guys but get a few hits yourself and then catch another player unawares but as he has more health he can kill you first. That is simple awful or maybe it just that I/we are not used to it. Either way, its bloody frustrating as you know you are going to die real soon when your heath is low. In the offline game you can inject yourself with a Syringe. Has anybody found this online yet! THAT would be useful!
