Need For Speed Carbon
This game looks good already on my home cinema, all I have to do is just wait until it hits my wall. New cars, new place, new soundtracks, what else could we want from it?

Yeah, it is a tough decision. This game has a special character that makes all the other racing games different form it. Everybody has there own tastes.

True, women are into little cars that get from A to B, can play their POP CDs and Cabriolets, especially BMW Cabriolets...
They have no idea what an incredible hold cars have on men...
Women go to sleep thinking about what to wear at work the next day, how the new girl at work has a big bum and when they will next get their hair and nails done.
men go to bed thinking about driving a new Ferrari around their local town (or sex...) :)

This is one of many car games I hope to get..
Fancy one rally one and possibly Formula 1 Championship. There there is Ridge Racer 7 and my other favorite, GranTurismo HD...
It is going to end up expensive as I really want to my hands (and feet) on a PS3 steering wheel !

Yah . I dont think I will bother with Full Auto, Motorstorm or Ridge Racer7.
I will probaby spend my motoring money on Gran Turismo, NFS:carbond and one rally game. I think there are 3 rally games coming out but it will likely be between Sega Rally Revo and Colin Mcrae, as above.

Nice wheel..... IIRC it is $129.99 ! 8O
For me, it is down toa straight choice between NFS Carbon and Gran Turismo HD...
If I find myself winning the lottery then I will also get F1 championship and whatever the best rated rally game is ...

I've played NFSC now and it has got an excellent story line, rather than just the usual straight foward racing.
However graphically, I thought it was pretty poor. I was disappointed to be honest. Sure the in-game movies are great but the actual racing is nothing like as good as Ridge Racer 7 and doesnt look to be in the same ball park as Gran Turismo HD or F1 Championship.
Furthermore, I thought the controls were rubbish in that it wasnt as smooth to operate and even with the analogue stick it was jerky. The whole game is pure arcade. I think thats perfect for the youngsters but I felt it was boring as it didnt really matter when you turned in or put on the gas.
I get a lot of reward of performing the perfect corner in games like RR7..

Re: Need For Speed Carbon
well i thought thats the game was good, except for the shot story, and absolutely HORRIBLE online play (which is with all of the EA games....) well let me not pound on the online play its is really fun (while it lasts!!)
I actually beat the game, the ending is OK but in the long run with the awesome autosculpt and the fun racing the game is worth about $30-40, so wait until the price dropps:)

Re: Need For Speed Carbon
yeah, thats the thing about EA games...
They have some great developers within the sports field but stuggle relatively speaking in other areas.
They are known to have really rubbush servers at the moment so the online experience is severly lacking....
They are doing Medal of Honor Airborne which sounds great 'on paper'.
Historically, this has been one of their better non-sports games.
I just hope EA have pulled their finger out by then...:?
