The greatest reason to hook your ps2 up to online, back in the day the Socom series dominated the Playstation market with it's unique online play and great team work facilities, weather you were playing with friends or as a clan, everybody got the "Socom Factor" one way or another. From stealth play carefully picking your targets off with snipers and precision shots, to all out gun fire and sieges of enemy positions this game was much loved by it's players.

SOCOM:Confrontation the newest installment of the series brings a new side and feel to the game, developed purely for online play. Which in someways makes sense because so many people played this game for the online factor, but I guess some of the fans will miss playing the story modes that sent you into in-depth missions as a Navy Seal in hostile landscapes.

Online play is very consistant in making sure every player is tactical and is a team worker, as players are encouraged to think and play tacticaly by the map and terrain in the levels. 32 Player servers are supported by several gamemodes.

The US version has been released and can be downloaded via PSN and bought in store with the Official Playstation Bluetooth Headset for around $40*.

The US version has only recieved a 4.5 score from IGN but with online based games this is not unusual, with nothing to fall back on the developers only have one thing to be reviewed on, and with server issues and minor glitches and bugs, the game wasn't seen at it's best...However since then updates have been released and minor patches have been made. The game flows alot more now and all is good, lag is still an issue in some games, but when isn't it an issue in ANY game? The one issue that is bugging all the players is the SIXAXIS feature, that is used to look round corners, it's un-responsive and annoying at times but hey, its we need to deal with it.

Anyways SOCOM explodes onto the multiplayer copmmunity like a hand grenade in early Febuary in the UK at a price of £35 complete with the headset bundle.

ive got this game its wicked 1 life and then u have to wait for a couple of minutes which mean u have to think tactical love it

I sent you a friends request and whenever you see me on just send me a message. Socom is usually what I mainly play and the clan I'm in has been around for years so everyone knows each other. Unfortunately, considering you live in London, it may be a little hard to find the right time but like I said whenever you see me on just send a message.
