err here is the update coming to home nxt week i think... im lazy so its copy and paste.
ollowing on from our test night on the 27th of February we gathered a great deal of feedback and information from you all. We believe that we have successfully identified and corrected many of the issues causing the biggest problems.
Changes
- Name labels above character’s heads should now be clearer at range and won’t fade out as often when close up.
- Status icons above character’s heads should now be much clearer and larger. This will make it easier to see when someone is away from keyboard or speaking. There is also a new icon that will appear above the head of those on your friends list.
Lag, pauses and stuttering
- The Voice communication system was quickly identified as a source of many of the problems associated with the stuttering and has therefore had an overhaul.
- Loading other characters when joining a location has been improved after the discovery of some problems in the object loader. This should mean that relocating is more stable.
- The pause that occurred when saving has been fixed in many situations.
Crash fixes
- The "Out of memory in character pool" crash has been fixed.
- The "Object manager" crash has been fixed.
- An intermittent problem that resulted in a crash to the XMB has been identified and fixed.
- An intermittent problem resulting in a complete freeze of the system has been identified and fixed.
General fixes
- The error causing duplicate lines of text to be seen in the chat log after spending time in a busy location has been fixed.
- The Telephone call system is fixed and working again.
- Many "No translation" errors have been fixed (tell us if we’ve missed any!)
- Problems that occurred when attempting to block another user from the Home Safe Screen have been fixed.
- There should be fewer issues with characters switching to low level of detail models and textures in busy locations.
Its looking like the patch will arrive next week rather than this week, mainly because we dont want to patch on a Friday and tomorrow would be a rush.
Mods. Could you sticky this and also leave the 0.8.3 notes sticked too please, they’re still relevant.
When do u guys think Home will come out in Malta? I dont think that there'll be a beta, sony didnt even bother making the PS Store available in my country, even though we paid an extra $60 for the PS3

Rarely Visiting This Site Due To The Lack Of Fairness.
Chalk this up to rumor, but according to at least one PS Home beta tester’s account page, Sony’s closed beta will be ending on 5/15/08. This date in itself means little. But it could mean that Sony might begin an open beta—or just launch Home once and for all—sometime not so long after that date. Either way, we wouldn’t hold our breathe for Home to magically appear any time soon in a firmware update...especially since 2.4, expected this summer, has not been rumored to contain Home.
