Well, I got it... Early days but it doesn't seem much different.
I would say better graphics but I noticed some frame rate problems already with some disappointing pop-up scenery.

Also, its pretty clear that lag will be prevalent in this game as well.

On the plus side. I still like it!

If you like this style of game then its still number one at what it does.
Its really tactical and I think the sprint feature is a worthwhile addition and should make Live events on this site more interesting.

What do you lot think of it!?

the servers arent amazing

but i like the gameplay


they even have some classic maps like presido and kill house

My Dad is picking mine up tomorrow whilst I am at school.

Best thing is I have easter break for 2 an a half weeks after tomorrow!!

I got it today, but I picked it up for Xbox....I just didn't want to deal with all the problems that have plagued every other PS3 game recently.....It is just easier to buy it for Xbox and not be disappointed.

well if u dont like the servers cus u cant find a room its cus not alot of people have the game so their arent alot of rooms up. and is their k/d ratios etc and is its faster ranking up like COD4 or is like RB6 1

Fair comment.

From what I have heard (and seen on my copy) the 360 has superior graphics due to a faster frame rate.

I will add, in the PS3's defense, that this is mainly because yet again, like most of our beloved games, its been raped and butchered from a PC or Xbox 360 copy and the quality is never the same.
Its like taking a Ferrari and trying to hammer it into the shape of a Hummer, it juist wont look as good as a real Hummer...

The servers is another issue. Anything but SONY's own servers and the multiplayer experience is severely warped.

Resistance, Warhawk and UT3 are excellent and put the third party server providers to shame.

We really deserve better than this.

err na. you go back to skool for like a week or so then we have the big 2week holiday. unless your going on a holiday.

theres a downloadable map ... it works on the 360 but i aint too sure about the ps3.
On the Main Menu of Rainbow Six Vegas 2, go to Extra’s and select Comgast Gift, when prompted input "Comcast Faster" to unlock the Comcast Event map.

I picked it up today and have been playing for about 4 hours so I will give everyone a little idea of what it's like.

The graphics are a little better than RB6 1, which is cool and the new addition of spriniting makes the game a whole lot better. The guns are cool, they added a bunch and the sound of the guns are pretty neat as well. The maps I was a little let down with, they brought back a couple old ones that wern't really that great to begin with and they added a bunch of just "Ok" maps. I haven't had the time to go through them all, but I know a couple of them are great, but only a couple.

The servers right now are just plain horrible, I can't connect to 90% of the games but I have been told that the actual "Servers" won't be 100% functional until everyone has the game which will be in a couple days. If they don't fix the servers like they are supposed to, I wont have Rainbow 2 for very long. I buy shooter games for the online experience, and right now id rather be playing Pong than Rainbow 2 online. Aside from the horrible servers, the game is pretty good. A little lag here and there but I can't judge that entirely until they have the update.

I'm renting it thru gamefly and it should be at my house on Monday...I didn't like the first one, but at the time I was really into COD3...now COD4 plays more like RB6 so I may like this one...we'll see.
