R.I.P. Boon

I am writing on behalf of x419xBiG_sMoKe69 and our family.
I never knew Fred, but from all the posts I can tell he was a good friend and loving person. I prayed alot for him hoping he could fight this battle with such a horrible disease. I myself am so deeply affected by this, as I lost my mother in 1996 due to cancer.
I am amazed at how people get so close to a person when it is only on a game console. Even though you never meet them, they do become your best friends. This poem helped me when my mom passed away, and I'm passing it on to all of you.

In tears we saw you sinking,
We watched you fade away
You suffered much in silence
You fought so hard to stay.
You faced your task with courage,
Your spirit did not bend,
But still you kept on fighting
Until the very end.
God saw you getting tired,
When a cure was not to be,
So he put His arms around you,
And whispered, "Come to Me".
So when we saw you sleeping
So peaceful, free from pain,
We could not wish you back,
To suffer that again.
You didn't deserve what you went through,
So he took you home to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
For he only takes the best.

We also send our condolences to his wife and boys. Stay strong, remember he's in a better place and he's not suffering anymore. Don't think of him as gone, because he is still in your hearts.

is there a trust fund or something set up in his honour ? team asbo would like there winnings to go to his family in so shape or form.

Well Fred it was quite a ride. We had a lot of fun back in the day, remember when we would thread jack every one's threads over on the Sony boards. Man that was big fun I would laugh my ass off at some of the stuff you would come up with. Ahh good times. How bout spending the afternoon at work talking smack on AIM with Will and Tony, Dude that was priceless. I will never forget any of our time toghther. Joining our first clan together, talking about starting our own clan, I would not have missed any of it for all the tea in China. I miss you man. We all do. I know you are in a better place but you left a void in our hearts that is hard to fill with just memories. My love and prayers go out to your wife and 3 boys. Be at peace brother. Until we see each other on the other side, I will remember always buddy.

I really wish i had known him more! But, he is in a better place now. On behalf of [A|E] we wish for the best for him and his family. This tears me up, we will miss you "Boon". R.I.P.

First and foremost thanks to everyone who's shown support and caring in this very difficult time for our clan. Myself and Malachi have returned from Maryland and meeting with Boon's wife. We have pictures that we will post shortly. Boon's wife, Patty wanted us to thank everyone for all their prayers, cards, letters, etc. She was overwhelmed by the amount of people Boon had touched. It was difficult for us to stand in his house without him there, but somehow we know that Boon is watching down from heaven with a smile on his face.
