Re: The Official 2008 Baseball Thread

that just had to best one of the best all star games over

who stayed up for the whole thing...i did, 15 innings. AL had so many chances. AL wins 4-3 on a close play at the plate on a sac fly. both teams had SO MANY CHANCES. it seemed like it would never end. i kind of felt bad for uggla though. what a bad night

AL continues it's dominance! in a classic!

and papelBUM got what he deserved. " MARIANO" "UNDERRATED"

3 words- what A GAME

(what if it ended in a tie...LOL... both teams were on there last pitchers)

Re: The Official 2008 Baseball Thread

papelbum? He would of got out of the inning if dionner navarro new how to throw to second base. That was a perfect pitch to throw someone out on. Belt high fastball outside in perfect position. And maybe if the new york reporters knew how to write news paper articles instead of making up fake things that papelbon didnt say. Papelbon said this game is about paying dues to the greats of the game and thats why i am gladly not intending on closing the game,"unless i have to". He called Mo the grandfather of closing so i don't know why people are giving him a hard time. He is 27, and yet he is considered a top 3 closer in the game. I'd say that is pretty good.( Oh wait it's great.) Im glad this happened though because now hopefully the yankees and redsox rival will start up again and maybe another yankee coach can get thrown by a redsox player like pedro did to Don Zimmer. Oh and BTW J.D. Drew All-Star MVP won a nice trophy and a 2009 chevy tahoe. Also he gets his jersey hung up in the new yankee stadium because he got mvp of the all-star game hahaa. Maybe ortiz's wont be there but J.D.'s will LOL!

Re: The Official 2008 Baseball Thread

LOL. J.D. Drew is so quiet how can't he be respected. How about lowell and lester coming back from Cancer and playing at there caliber. All of the redsox are respected. On espn news they showed a yankee fan asking him what was that.... Papelbon rose his left hand and showed his world series ring and says " This is what".

wow mannys play in left last night was the worst thing i have seen in my life

he dives on a pop up, gets it stuck under his butt, he then rolls around, trips and dives looking for it and throws it in 4 minutes later

Re: The Official 2008 Baseball Thread

He looked like he was playing twister lol. Yankees will not make the playoffs. You only post on this thread when yankees win and redsox lose. Yankees are still 5.5 out and the redsox are getting ortiz back. Oh btw, 2 home runs in his first 2 minor league starts. KTHNXBAI

Re: The Official 2008 Baseball Thread

this time it was not on purpose. 1-0 game. count 2-0. it does not make sense.

lowell argued like a 5 year old who did not get what he wanted. and rivera did what rivera always does make that 7 in a row. yankees 1 game back of the sox in loss column

Thats the same excuse ive herd the 4 other times hes thrown at Youks head!

you cant go around throwin heat at a guys heads thats Bullcrap i really cant wait for the day Joba gets what he deserves

if today was the only day he threw at Youks head, id say ehh w.e

but you cant say every time Joba pitches against the sox he suddenly looses control when Youk is up... thats bullshit
