Having known Boon for as long as I have, along with many others, there's a bigger side to this tragedy than losing a very good friend that we all know and play with. He has a great family who will deal with this for far longer than we.
When a friend or a family goes through these terribly difficult times, every little bit can help. In the spirit of this, and out of tremendous respect for Fred, the 12 Johnnys (most of which are and always have been very close to TU and especially Boon) have created a site where you can donate money to help his family through.
The site is not active as yet, but should be within 24-48 hours (per site instruction). There are also links you can add to your signature to spread the word.
All proceeds will go directly to his family. The site will be collecting the donations for 12 months for those that want to give but cannot right now. If you have some thoughts or comments you'd like to add to the site, I have left the comment section blank but will post whatever you'd like to add. If you do have something to add to the site, please send an email to Johnny_Amazing@bluebottle.com and I will make sure that it gets posted.

Let's try to keep this thread at the top man! Even if you don't know boon a.k.a TU_Snake Doctor, you must see what a tragic time it is for him and his family. Show that you care about fellow gamers and help through this difficult time. I hardly know the guy but this is more than words can express
I think we need to start donating right now, I mean it's christmas now and I don't mean to be negative but those kids want their dad to be around for it...
I'm sure Boon and his family are probably strugling to coap with everything going on right now....
Lets just donate se his family can have a good christmas and a good life when Boon wins this fight...

Well said Panda. There is no doubt in my mind that Boon can win this fight! With support and strength from the gaming community it will make it that much easier. God be with Boon and his family. I lost my father at the age of 2 to lung cancer so this has become a personal battle to get others to reach out and help. God bless each and every one who does!

we should or you should? look into getting this a 501c3 status so he doesn't have to pay taxes on the donations

It's good to see a part of PS3 nation rallying around him. I'm losing a close female friend to cancer and it's not easy. Now a friend and clanmate has the disease that isn't finicky when it comes to age, etc. Boon is just a few years older than I am...and I don't even want to think of what it would be like to get the news he did and have a wife and kids.
Something you can do that won't cost you a red cent is to change your clan tag on COD4 to [BOON]. I saw a former CTF clanmate who is now with GoD, JD244TIME, sporting it last night. It's a sign of solidarity and shows that despite wanting to spank each other on the battlefield, when it comes to things that REALLY matter, we're a BAND OF BROTHERS.
Keep praying for Boon. We all thank you.
